Blade X8440 Information

The Sun Blade X8440 server module is an enterprise-class data center engine with four sockets (quad-core or dual-core) that offers the fastest performance and largest memory footprint available in a blade server form factor. The Sun Blade X8440 server module has been "design optimized" for quad-core computing, with features such as doubled memory capacity (32 DIMM slots) and 192 Gbps I/O speed. This technology allows IT infrastructures or Web service farms to be consolidated for as little as half the cost of competing servers. Furthermore, because these blades scale readily and enable the widest range of configurations and applications, they give the flexibility that protects your investments and helps you build your business in the future.
