SPARC M5000 Information

The SPARC Enterprise M5000 server enclosure has a 10RU footprint and can accommodate up to eight processing chips, 512GB of memory, and four Dynamic Domains. The M5000 server also includes eight short internal PCI Express and two short internal PCI-X ports, four disk drives, one DVD drive, and an optional DAT tape drive. The SPARC Enterprise M5000 server is powered and cooled by four power supplies and four fan units.

Rich CPU resources, including up to 32 threads and 11MB of level 2 cache, as well as the most efficient threading and resource utilization, provide exceptional performance.
Simultaneous MultiThreading (SMT), superscalar, branch prediction, and speculative execution are all performance acceleration technologies.
ECC (Error Checking and Correction) on cache memory, the parity checking and instruction retry on registers, and ALU (Arithmetic and Logical Unit) on ALU (Arithmetic and Logical Unit) eliminates any single bit mistakes.
