This modular chassis, standing at 13 rack units (13-U), provides a flexible solution for cloud and data center operators transitioning to high-performance networks, supporting the shift from 10-Gigabit and 40-Gigabit Ethernet to 100-Gigabit and 400-Gigabit Ethernet seamlessly.

With eight line card slots and a robust switch fabric consisting of six Switch Interface Boards (SIBs), the PTX10008 ensures scalability and versatility. Two SIB models cater to different line card types, offering forwarding capacities of 42 Tbps and 115 Tbps, respectively.

The router, available in base and redundant configurations for both AC and DC operation, boasts benefits like full-scale IP and MPLS routing, SPRING support, always-on infrastructure base, and nondisruptive software upgrades. Engineered for hardware redundancy, the PTX10008 stands tall at 13 U, and up to three routers can fit in a standard 42-U rack, offering a comprehensive solution for high-performance networking needs.
