The Juniper Networks ACX2100 Universal Metro Router is a crucial element in Juniper's response to the evolving landscape of metro network architecture, extending operational intelligence from the service provider edge to the access network. The ACX Series streamlines access and aggregation architectures by eliminating unnecessary layers and network overlays, resulting in a significant reduction in both capital and operational expenditures.

Positioned in alignment with the true universal metro paradigm, the ACX Series, in addition to Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) CE2.0 compliance, provides high capacity, scalability, and a secure packet optical transport layer. Offering industry-leading performance with various port densities and interface types, the ACX2100 is equipped with fanless passive cooling. Its fixed port configuration includes 16 T1/E1 interfaces, four copper 10/100/1000 Mbps interfaces, four combination copper/fiber GbE ports, two GbE small form-factor pluggable transceiver (SFP) ports, and two 10GbE SFP+ transceiver ports.
