The Juniper Networks MX10016 Universal Routing Platform is engineered for ultra-high-capacity operations within a space-efficient 21 U form factor. With an impressive capacity of 38.4 Tbps per chassis or an exceptional 76.8 Tbps per standard 19-inch telco rack, the MX10016 accommodates up to 384 100GbE, 384 40GbE, or 1536 10GbE ports.

As part of the MX10000 line, which also features the MX10008 with a 13 U form factor and 19.2 Tbps capacity, these Universal Routing Platforms provide dense 10GbE, 40GbE, and 100GbE modular solutions, supporting up to 2.4 Tbps per slot. This capability empowers service providers and cloud operators to confidently construct high-performance networks spanning data centers, business edges, and cloud markets.

The MX10000 line shares common chassis components with Juniper Networks PTX Series Packet Transport Routers and QFX Series Switches, enabling the universal chassis to be deployed as a core router, IP edge router, or switch with specific software and line cards.
