Oracle's Sun Server X4-8 delivers industry-leading performance, scalability, and unrivaled dependability, availability, and serviceability. It's Oracle's most powerful and expandable x86 server, making it perfect for very large memory-optimized databases, scale-up applications, and enterprise workloads that require a lot of I/O bandwidth, memory, and cores. It has 50 percent more cores and memory slots than the previous generation, as well as increased I/O bandwidth. Oracle's industry-leading 5U form factor allows for a 60% increase in rack-level core and memory slot density over competitors. The Sun Server X4-8 is powered by four or eight CPU modules, each with one Intel® Xeon® Processor E7-8895 v2 and 24 memory slots, and is built on a modular system design. This server provides exceptional compute density in a compact 5U container, with 15 cores per socket.
