High-density 10Gb Ethernet switches in the PowerConnect 8000 Series are intended for data center, aggregation, and unified fabric deployments that demand high throughput and availability. These 24-port, high-density 10Gb switches are prepared for converged Ethernet settings that enable iSCSI storage, virtualization, and 10Gb traffic aggregation. Additionally, the 8000 Series has complete routing capabilities in a small 1U form size with front-to-rear cooling that is suitable for data centers.

Dell PowerConnect 8000 Switches Specifications:
The PowerConnect 8000 Series support converged fabric requirements such as Priority Flow Control (802.1Qbb), iSCSI Optimization, and 10Gb wire speed performance on all ports. iSCSI traffic can also be monitored at the fabric level, allowing the administrator to track active iSCSI sessions. Models: Dell PowerConnect 8024 and Dell PowerConnect 8024F.
10 Gigabit Ethernet is available on copper or optical fiber with the Dell PowerConnect 8024 and 8024F thanks to upgraded small form-factor pluggable transceiver (SFP+) modules on the 8024F. The final four ports on the Dell PowerConnect 8024 are combination ports with the option to connect to core switches across extended distances using fiber optics using the four SFP+ slots. The four combination ports on the 8024F provide 10GBASE-T copper ports.
