The Dell PowerVault MD3420 storage array is a 12Gb serial-attached SCSI (SAS) array with maximum SAS connection for consolidation initiatives that demand streamlined high performance, high availability, and dependability that your small business can rely on. The Dell MD3420 is designed for demanding workloads like VMware or Hyper V virtualization, with double the throughput connection of the previous generation PowerVault MD3 array series SANs and up to 16GB cache. The direct-attached MD3420 SAS array, unlike fiber channel or iSCSI SAN solutions, may connect to up to 8 host servers in single-path mode or up to 4 servers in high availability mode without the use of expensive switches.

The MD3 series has been developed to satisfy your rising business needs, whether you need to consolidate your storage, handle the demands of data-intensive applications, or improve your virtual environments.
