Dell's ultra-dense storage container is the MD1280. The MD1280 is a dense enclosure that adds 40 percent more capacity to the PowerEdge server product line than prior generations of dense enclosure alternatives. With the opportunity to choose from a number of drive speeds to enhance server performance, the MD1280's capacity can be adjusted to meet the most severe performance requirements, delivering an inexpensive storage solution for PowerEdge servers. Because of the MD expansion series' modular design, you may add capacity as your data requirements grow.
