The Sun StorEdge D1000 is a customer-serviceable disk tray with detachable disk modules, a redundant power supply, and a hot-pluggable redundant fan module. For a range of workgroup situations, including fast-growing databases and I/O-intensive workloads, the Sun StorEdge A1000 and D1000 arrays provide performance, availability, and flexibility at a reasonable cost. Modular architecture allows you to expand and customize as needed, optimizing your return on investment. The Sun StorEdge D1000 array offers a server-based software RAID option, but the Sun StorEdge A1000 array features a dedicated 70 MIPS processor that manages and controls all RAID functions.
