Switch-IB 2 ASICs serve as the foundation for the SB7880 InfiniBand routers, respectively. They provide 36 EDR 100Gb/s ports that are completely configurable and can be divided among numerous subnets. The data center's network is divided into numerous subnets by InfiniBand routers, and each subnet manages its own subnet manager, thus isolating each subnet from the availability or instability of the others. The attractively built SB7880 InfiniBand routers focus on performance, serviceability, energy efficiency, and high availability. They have two extremely effective power sources that have earned the 80 gold+ and energy star certifications.
