The Sun StorEdge 9960 Hard Drive Array meets the demands of the high-end data center, where heterogeneity, storage consolidation, and availability levels approaching Six Sigma are required. It provides an excellent platform for storage consolidation, direct-attach mainframe connectivity, and storage area network (SAN)-attach applications. The Sun StorEdge™ 9960 is a scalable storage system with a base configuration consisting of two frames: the control frame and the array frame. This disk array frame unit can contain up to 96 disk drives. It includes one set of platforms for canister mounts for disk drive canisters. The StorEdge™ 9960 also allows massive storage expansion for the largest enterprise applications and large-scale consolidation.
