NetApp DS2246 with 12x 450GB SAS 10K X421A-R5 Disk Shelf achieves both storage and performance in a 2U form factor. The DS2246 has the ability to use performance SAS drives, SSD's or Self-Encrypting drives. This DS2246 is populated with twelve 450GB 10K SAS Drives (X421A-R5) and comes with all necessary parts as well as a 1-Year Parts Replacement Warranty as standard.
For maximum storage availability and stability, storage systems with DS2246 disk shelves have the option to use the ACP capability. ACP is a protocol that enables Data ONTAP® to manage and control the DS2246 disk shelf storage subsystem. It uses a separate network from the data path so that it can independently perform recovery whenever certain interruptions are detected in the data path.
