Blade X6240 Information

The Sun Blade X6240 server module is a 1U server that is compatible with the Sun Blade 6000 and 6048 Modular Systems. The Sun Blade X6240 server module features two AMD Opteron quad-core Rev F processors, as well as embedded I/O that includes PCI Express, SAS, and Gigabit Ethernet connections to the Sun Blade 6000/6048 chassis midplane, as well as up to four SAS or SATA disk connectors at the server module's front. A RAID expansion module (REM) provides up to four additional SAS or SATA drive ports for external hard disk drives via the chassis midplane (HDDs).

With your choice of processor architecture—AMD Opteron processors, Intel Xeon Processors, or UltraSPARC processors—and operating systems—Linux, Windows, or the Solaris OS.
