The IBM FlashSystem 5200 is the company's smallest storage system to date. It's made to speed up a variety of enterprise installations, whether they're on bare metal, virtualized, or containerized systems. These new systems, which use IBM Spectrum Virtualize, IBM Storage Insights software, and end-to-end NVMe protocols, deliver more work with fewer drives and rack space than traditional SAS or even traditional flash systems, with as little as 70 microseconds latency3, as much as 1.7 petabytes of usable capacity in only one rack unit, HyperSwap high availability technology, 3-site replication, and scalability.
