The NetApp E-Series series of storage devices, the industry's most flexible enterprise-grade storage system, can support several drive types in either a 2U or 4U form factor. They also provide a full range of SAN interfaces. In brief, the NetApp E-Series is a quick, simple, and dependable storage unit family that is suited for enterprise applications.

The E2824 controller shelves are high-density SAS-3 (12 Gb/s) enclosures, with one or two E2800 controllers and either high-capacity 3.5-inch SAS drives or high-performance 2.5-inch SAS drives. The E2824 controller shelves provide high-capacity disk storage for Fibre Channel, SAS, and iSCSI environments.
