HP ProLiant DL580 Gen8 Information

The HPE ProLiant DL580 Gen8 server has 96 slots and supports two, three, or four Intel Xeon processors for memory-intensive workloads like virtualization, databases, and big data applications like Hadoop. With nine PCIe 3.0 slots, it can handle a lot of I/O traffic, allowing it to fully utilize the 12Gb/s SAS storage capabilities. Using Intel's Xeon E7-4800/8800 v2 processors, overall system performance is 2.3 times better than HPE's Gen7 model.
