This series offers a flexible and affordable way to expand a data center's server and access ports. An N2k switch may have a Nexus 5000, Nexus 7000, or Nexus 9000 series switch as its parent switch. When FEX technology is used, the parent switch handles all configuration and management. In particular, the N2k functions as a remote line card for the parent switches thanks to FEX technology.
