Juniper Networks QFX5120-32C Ethernet Switch Information:
The Juniper Networks QFX5120-32C Switch, part of the QFX5120 series, is a compact 1U platform designed for high-performance 100GbE data center leaf-and-spine and campus distribution applications. Featuring 32 100GbE (QSFP28) or 40GbE (QSFP+) uplink ports, the QFX5120-32C delivers wire-speed packet performance with ultra-low latency as low as 550 nanoseconds.
The switch is equipped with a 2.2 GHz quad-core Intel CPU, 16 GB memory, and 64 GB SSD storage, ensuring robust processing capabilities. Breakout cables allow each 100GbE QSFP28 port to be split into four 25GbE SFP28 ports, while each 40GbE QSFP+ port can be divided into four 10GbE SFP+ ports, enabling a total of 128 supported 25GbE and 10GbE ports per switch. The QFX5120-32C supports up to 6.4 Tbps L2 and L3 performance bidirectionally. Key features include support for VXLAN as an L2 or L3 gateway, advanced Junos OS functionalities like Ethernet VPN-Virtual Extensible LAN (EVPN-VXLAN), BGP add-path, L3 VPN, and MPLS, along with feature-rich automation capabilities supporting Python and zero-touch provisioning (ZTP).
The switch runs on Junos OS, offering software modularity, uninterrupted routing and forwarding, and commit and rollback functionalities to enhance network configuration management. Additionally, it incorporates a powerful set of scripts for on-box problem detection, reporting, and resolution.
