The Juniper Networks QFX5100-96S Ethernet Switch is a compact 2U high-density aggregation switch designed for demanding data center deployments. With 96 SFP+/SFP ports and eight QSFP+ ports, it boasts an aggregate throughput of 2.56 Tbps or 1.44 Bpps per switch. The QFX5100 line of switches offers low latency, flexible deployment options, and robust Layer 2 and Layer 3 features, making it a versatile choice for various network architectures.

Supporting Topology-Independent In-Service Software Upgrades (TISSU*) and L2 gateway capabilities, the QFX5100 is tailored for high-performance data center environments, facilitating bridging between virtualized and bare-metal servers. Its flexibility extends to mixed 1GbE, 10GbE, and 40GbE environments within different architectures, including Juniper Virtual Chassis, Virtual Chassis Fabric, Junos Fusion, QFabric, as well as industry-standard spine and leaf and Layer 3 fabrics.
