Juniper Networks EX4300-48P Ethernet Switch

The Juniper Networks EX4300-48P Ethernet Switch is a powerful member of the EX4300 series, featuring 48 ports of 10/100/1000BASE-T PoE-plus, a 1100W AC power supply (providing 950W PoE+ power), and optional QSFP+ DAC for Virtual Chassis (ordered separately). These 1 Gigabit Ethernet (1GbE) switches offer a compact, fixed-configuration design suitable for standalone deployment or integration into diverse architectures, including Virtual Chassis, Virtual Chassis Fabric, or Junos Fusion switching.

The switch combines economic advantages, low power consumption, and the performance of chassis-based platforms, facilitating rapid deployment for increased revenue and improved productivity. Offering a full suite of Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching capabilities, the EX4300 supports diverse deployments, from campus to branch and data center access. The integration with QFX3500, QFX3600, and QFX5100 10GbE and 40GbE data center access switches allows for non-disruptive 10GbE server upgrades and simplified management of mixed access environments.

With features like multiple 40GbE QSFP+ ports, a flexible uplink module supporting 1GbE and 10GbE options, redundant power supplies, and hot-swappable fans, the EX4300 series provides a scalable and reliable solution for network environments. The PoE-enabled models adhere to 802.3at PoE+ standards, supporting up to 30 watts on all ports for high-density IP telephony and 802.11n wireless access point deployments. Additionally, the EX4300-48MP model supports IEEE 802.3bz-compliant multigigabit speeds and up to 95 watts of power on access ports, enabling connections to PoE++ devices.

This model also enhances security with higher levels of MACsec AES256 encryption on all access and uplink ports, safeguarding customer traffic from unauthorized access. The inclusion of dedicated 40GbE QSFP+ transceiver ports allows the creation of a 320 Gbps backplane.
