The Juniper Networks EX4200-24T Ethernet Switch, featuring Virtual Chassis technology, seamlessly combines the reliability of modular systems with the flexibility of stackable switches, providing a high-performance and scalable solution for data center and campus environments. These switches represent a new class of secure, scalable, and always-on enterprise switches, addressing the demands of high-performance businesses.

Offering a full suite of Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching capabilities, the EX4200 satisfies diverse high-performance applications, including branch, campus, and data center access deployments, along with Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) aggregation deployments. Initially deployable as a single 24-port or 48-port switch, the Juniper Networks Virtual Chassis technology enables interconnection of up to 10 EX4200 switches over a 128 gigabit-per-second (Gbps) backplane, managing them as a single device.

This scalable, pay-as-you-grow approach caters to expanding network environments. The switches feature redundant, hot-swappable internal power supplies and field-replaceable, multi-blower fan trays to ensure high availability. Additionally, the base EX4200 switch models support Class 3 Power over Ethernet (PoE), delivering 15.4 watts on the first eight ports, making them suitable for low-density converged networks, while full PoE options are available for high-density IP telephony deployments.
