These 1U and 2U servers offer flexibility by supporting various operating systems including Standard Linux Distributions, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, SuSE Enterprise Linux Server, or the Solaris x86 Operating System.
As part of Sun's product portfolio for horizontally scaled compute environments, the Sun Fire V60x servers are equipped with up to two Intel Xeon processors clocked at 2.8GHz, 3.06GHz, or 3.2 GHz, leveraging the latest x86 technology to power Solaris-x86-based and Linux-based applications. With plans to introduce drivers for Standard Linux Distributions in the near future, customers will have the freedom to choose the operating system that best suits their needs, making the Sun Fire V60x servers versatile solutions for a variety of computing environments.
